Tributary 5/10

I had gained some height to capture another image named Capillary and decided I Iiked the view at 5000 feet and hung around there for a while. The question that remains unanswered is why does the large tributary just stop with such an abrupt ending? It’s like a bulldozer has pushed a boat ramp down but if you look at the topography there are no roads into the area. I didn’t drop down in height to check it out so the question remains unanswered.
