The Opal

NT coast lines are among the most pristine in the world, but also the most inaccessible. One of the few reachable areas is Bynoe Harbour, which includes a collection of sand islands protecting the western side of the harbour. These islands are a haven for turtles nesting during the dry season. I love flying over this area, the waters are alive with marine life and from a few thousand feet they are often just black shapes in the clear water, but so many of them. It is tricky to do aerial shots here because we are height restricted which means sometimes I can’t get high enough to capture exactly what I am after, but that is the challenge of aerial art. I love this challenge.
