Blue Hole 4/10

Art Size 107 x 81cm There are only 2 elements in this image – water and coral. This is a naturally formed hole in the reef north of Dundee Beach near Bare Sand Island. What caught my eye was the long tail coming out of the hole as the outgoing tide went through. The small white breaking wave gives an indication of how shallow the main water body is. We flew around this hole a number of times to get the right composition and story. Captured on the Phase One 100mp system.
